    • 1664CA Austria, Vienna. 3 Kreuzer NGC Mint State 63

Leopold I “The Hogmouth” One of my favorite historical characters, and I’m not even sure why. Perhaps it’s because we have such an easy time calling the man Leopold the Hogmouth today. I’m fairly sure that in 1664 not too many people said that publicly. This piece has great luster and lots of history!

An absolutely stunning example of this early silver minor. Perfectly centered with a great strike, booming luster and no distracting spots. The obverse features St. Rupert, the reverse has two shields, value and date. A truly exceptional coin!

  • Canada

    • 1948 Silver Dollar NGC Mint State 63

A bright, beautiful, fully prooflike coin. Solid for the grade, this piece has an exceptional look. 1947 (maple leaf) dollars were minted well into 1948 leaving the latter with the tiny mintage of 18,780 making this date perhaps the most desireable of the series. Always in demand. This coin resides in an old NGC holder that is also nicely preserved.

The reverse features the denomination as the central motif and the printed signature of Jacob Edelstein as “Der Alteste der Juden” (The Elder of the Jews).
